With a mission to provide financial support to worthwhile programs across our community, primarily of a Catholic educational nature, The Catholic Community Foundation of Waterloo Region is having a big impact. Since 1987, the Foundation has provided over $2.33 million in grants to schools, parishes and deanery, and charitable organizations committed to strengthening Waterloo Region, one citizen at a time.

Strong Start has been blessed to receive financial support from The Catholic Community Foundation of Waterloo Region for the past three years, with the funds being used in our Letters, Sounds and Words program to help children learn to read. This year, we had the opportunity to showcase the Foundation’s support with a cheque presentation at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Elementary School in Cambridge. The school has run a very successful program this year, serving 20 children with the help of their caring, and generous volunteers.

We truly are better together, and extend our sincere appreciation to The Catholic Community Foundation of Waterloo Region for their continued support. Our thanks to all of our program partners, and volunteers as well for helping children learn to read.
