It’s amazing what can be accomplished when community-oriented Foundations share a vision. The Cambridge and North Dumfries Community Foundation has been an enthusiastic supporter of Strong Start® since our first year. Embracing the capacity building concept, they formed a special committee with a goal of ensuring that Strong Start® would be available to all elementary schools within the City of Cambridge and the Township of North Dumfries. Consequently, each year their Foundation provides substantial financial support to Strong Start®. The Cambridge and North Dumfries Community Foundation’s support also goes beyond the much-appreciated monetary gifts to include encouragement to the many dedicated volunteers, teachers, beginning readers and their families that validates and energizes their efforts with Strong Start®.
