Sue has 35 years of experience in education, including roles as a classroom teacher, Learning Support Teacher, Vice Principal, Principal and System Principal. In her role as a System Principal for Thames Valley District School Board, Sue’s portfolio included K-12 Literacy, French as a Second Language, Assessment and Evaluation, Multilingual Learners, Information Technology, and Instructional Coaches. Additionally, Sue works with Teacher Candidates at Western University facilitating a Master Teachers Mentor course which focuses on the importance of goal setting and reflective practice for educators. She is also a member of the Program Team and Communications Team for Teacher Mentors Abroad, a non-profit organization wherein Ontario educators partner with educators in the Dominican Republic to support professional learning through mentorship. As an instructor for the Principals Qualifications Program through Ontario Principals Council, Sue truly appreciates the opportunity to support and inspire new leaders. Sue’s most recent career adventure involves consulting work focusing on Leadership Recruitment and Sustainability and System support of Multilingual Learners.
Sue joined the Strong Start Board of Directors in December of 2023.
